weekly vocab (10/26/2015)

RAW: image file containing minimally processed data from the image sensor of either a digital camera, image scanner, or motion picture film scanner.




TIFF: is a flexible, adaptable file format for handling images and data within a single file, by including the header tags defining the image's geometry.




JPEG: Joint Photographic Experts Group," because that is the name of the committee that developed the format.
